About DailyKarma


We are a team of seasoned entrepreneurs, marketers, technologists, and activists with a single goal: to drive tangible impact in the world through technology.

Prior to DailyKarma, our leadership team built enterprise-level B2B software and engagement tools for brands like Honda, RedBull, Volkswagen, Sony, and Siemens. While striving for success in our professional lives, we were all called to service -- whether it was through launching Chennai’s largest volunteer organization, Chennai Volunteers, or more localized ventures in Los Angeles for Girls in Tech or maternal health.


In 2018, we united to build innovative solutions that help brands leverage consumer power for the greater good, all while helping charities. Our goal was simple: to create seamless on-page experiences that leverage consumer behavior to give back.

Since then, Shop for Good by DailyKarma has become the premiere cause marketing platform in Shopify, being awarded the Shopify Unite Fund, speaking at live events, and being recognized both as a featured app (Nov 2019) and a trending app (March 2020).

Patricia Dao

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Patty is an exit-tested technology entrepreneur with a career-long focus on giving back. She has an extensive background within the technology start-up industry in both consumer and enterprise products. Patty has worked with top brands including Red Bull, Nike, Ford, Universal, Warner & Sony. After selling her social rewards company VoxBloc in 2012, in parallel to product consulting, she dove headfirst into the social good space.

Patty served as Managing Director of Girls In Tech, Los Angeles from 2011 to 2014, and currently serves on the Digital Philanthropy Committee for Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles.

Patty speaks frequently regarding women entrepreneurship, specifically on the advancement of women in STEM fields.

She loves building things, especially lego fortresses with her two children.

Melaney Lubey

Chief Impact Officer

Mel blends over 10 years of technology and communications expertise with passion for advocacy that extends into everything she does. Leading cross-functional agency teams for brands including LexisNexis, Honda, and Volkswagen has honed Mel’s skills to create compelling narratives. Her forte is engaging brand communities around impact.

Mel is passionate about women’s issues, focusing on maternal and mental health. She serves as Vice-Chair on the West Hollywood Women’s Advisory Board, which advises City Council on initiatives and legislation relating to women. As part of the 2018 United State of Women event, Mel organized the Los Angeles March for Moms, a progressive, intersectional rally for maternal health.

A natural connector, Mel has advised several nonprofits including Film Stem, Girls in Tech Los Angeles, LA Doula Project, and Improving Birth.

Rajeev Mecheri

Chairman & Co-Founder

Rajeev is a serial entrepreneur. He has over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in building tech businesses.
He co-founded and built three companies in the smart buildings space, which were acquired by Siemens.

Through his family foundation, the Mecheri Foundation, he was responsible for launching Chennai Volunteers, an organization that pairs over 20,000 volunteers with nonprofits in need. His vision to drive social change paired with the ability to build world-class technology drives him to create impact across the world.
